ALIAS HOOK SAILS ON

Here are a couple of fun things I found on the Interwebs this week.

The graphic above was posted awhile back on Leonor Antunes' excellent book blog, A Cup of Coffee and a Book. I was thrilled that Alias Hook placed # 3. (Thanks, Ner!)

Meanwhile, over at another bookish blog, Me, My Shelf and I (love that name!), I found the graphic below. It's always fun for an author to get a play-by-play from a reader while the book is being read!

They have also just posted my guest blog Child's Play: Revisiting the Neverland Through Grown-Up Eyes. Big thanks to Team MMSAI  for inviting me to come over and play!

And this just in: a wonderful review of Alias Hook was just posted over at The Emerald City Book Review. Thanks to Lory for such a thoughtful review!

  1. Lisa,
I've been meaning to write and tell you this. I acquired my copy of "Hook" a while back and it's been working its way up through my TBR pile.
Finally started it a couple days ago. My time's been limited, so I'm not very far in yet, but I have to tell you: Welcome to the big leagues!
I enjoyed "The Witch". It was decently built, set in a time and place I enjoy, decently crafted, and written by someone I like to consider a friend. A more than decent first effort, and I was glad I read it.
But this is definitely (based on these first few chapters) a "strong step up in class", as they say in the boxing game. The artfulness of your storytelling, the pleasurable flights of language, the clever Big Idea at the heart of the book, all bespeak a growing maturity as an author.
I'll have more to say once I'm finished, but I already have no hesitation to offer a hearty congratulations.
And, of course, I'm eager to learn what you're working on now?
    Best to Artboy!

  2. Thanks, AC! Hope you're still enjoying it. I was out of town last week, so I just now found your comment—but it was worth waiting for!
